Ms Kuo Pei Yu

Pei Yu currently serves as the Deputy Chief Content Officer at Advisory, where she takes charge of editing and publishing articles on Advisory’s online repository, as well as leading the team of editors and volunteer correspondents in doing so.

She first joined Advisory in 2018 as a Correspondent and has conducted numerous interviews with working professionals across a wide range of industries. Pei Yu is currently also a sophomore student at Peking University in China. 

Mr Yan Aik Teck 

Aik Teck is currently heading the digital marketing and partnerships efforts of a startup called Next Life Book. Previously, he founded Gyrus Cinguli, an ecommerce store that helps lesser known artists earn an income—by commissioning their works on the store’s merchandise—and connecting these beautiful pieces to people in the medical field.

He also built a telegram community of ecommerce entrepreneurs and offer marketing consulting services to SMEs. His educational background is in Life Sciences, where he graduated top of his cohort. However, after graduation, he founded an ecommerce store and pursued a career in marketing instead. He is happy to share his experiences and how to transit to a career that has no link with one’s educational background. 

Ms Cheryl Tay  

Cheryl currently leads editorial comms for Airbnb in Asia Pacific, where she works with local teams across the region to drive data-led trend stories, creative content and consumer campaigns.

Before this, she handled public affairs for Airbnb in Southeast Asia, including comms on government regulation, sustainability and partnerships. Prior to Airbnb, she was part of the Corporate practice at Ogilvy Public Relations, now known as Ogilvy & Mather.

Mr Andy Soh

Andy Soh is Management Consultant with Accenture (Strategy & Consulting). Over the past three years, he has worked with financial institutions on a variety of engagements, including IT talent strategy, B2B2X go-to-market strategy, target operating model design, capability maturity assessment, and fraud, waste and abuse analytics and detection.

He has also undertaken various roles across the software development lifecycle, including the scrum master, project manager, and testing lead, and in these roles, have delivered digital products across Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Australia.

In college, he actively mentored students from his alma mater (NUS High School), organised Model United Nations conferences, and actively participated in and organized business case competitions. Andy is happy to share about consulting from the perspective of a recent graduate, and provide tips on navigating job applications and adapting to work life. 

Mr Kwang Yi Jing (YJ)

Kwang Yi Jing (YJ) is an investment product specialist at UBS Global Wealth Management. In this capacity, he works with relationship managers to pitch and manage various investment products, with a specialization in lending and money market securities.

While YJ has been in this role since graduating in 2018, one of his early internships was in the finance department of a large consumer goods company. He graduated from the Nanyang Technological University with a double degree in Accounting and Business (Finance).

Innovation and Entrepreneurial Skills to Thrive in a Post-Pandemic Era

Mr William Ku

William is a veteran in the telecommunications, media and tourism market.  He has held several senior positions with multinationals and led entrepreneurial startups.

He is currently CEO of Silk Route Connections, a company that is formed to create a whole new experience for travellers by harnessing the features of telecommunications and travel services.

William is a earns his MBA (International Business) from NTU and BEng (1st Class Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College, University of London.  He is also currently a volunteer mentor for Nanyang Polytechnic entrepreneurship programme. 

Mr Ng Yi Ming

Ng Yi Ming is the Managing Partner and CEO of Tribe Accelerator, Singapore’s First Government Supported Blockchain Accelerator.

Yi Ming also serves as an Entrepreneur in Residence at INSEAD, supporting promising MBA students with their entrepreneurship pursuits. He is also a member of the Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle.

He was also previously part of the Regional Business Analytics Team at AIG where he worked closely with Insurance experts to lead innovative data driven solutions for implementation across Asia Pacific. He had a stint in Munich, Germany where he worked with Munich Re Group, the world’s largest reinsurer, to develop new cyber insurance strategy with the IDEO design thinking methodology. Prior, he was developing eCommerce strategies and plans at Alibaba-backed, Lazada.

Yi Ming has was recently selected as a Forbes 30 Under 30 Honoree in 2020. During his military term, he was also awarded the Singapore Armed Forces Outstanding National Service Full-time (NSF) of the Year.
