Introduction

This mentorship program is offered by the Harvard Business School Club of Singapore (HBSCS), together with Alumni from Harvard University and London School of Economics for students in NP.

Program

This program is for highly motivated students who want to broaden their horizons and enrich their experience beyond a purely academic setting. 

A group of up to 6 students will be grouped and matched with 2 HBSCS mentors who are experienced professionals across a range of industries. Please note that mentor-mentee groups will not be matched based on industry.

Oct 2021: Program kickoff
Oct 2021 to May 2022: Mentorship sessions / Company visits
May 2022: Capstone / Graduation event

We are looking for students who

Students will be required to be committed to the program and be proactive participants who openly share their thoughts and views to help make the mentor-mentee sessions successful.

FAQs

Q: How often do we meet up?
A: Approximately once a month.

Q: What is the duration of each meet up?
A: Depending on the discussion topics and questions raised by mentees/mentors. Approximately 1 to 2 hours (as a reference, it could be longer or shorter)

Q: Do I need to skip lessons to attend this program?
A: This program does not serve as an excuse to miss any lessons/tests/labs. The meeting schedule is agreed between the mentees and mentor, typically after office hours.

Q: Can a non-business related Diploma student join this program?
A: This program is open for all NP students, regardless of the diploma.

Q: Will this program help me in my University applications?
A: The outcomes of this program depends on the composition of your team and mentors. It does not necessarily provide a direct relationship towards University application.

Q: Can this program replace my internships?
A: As this is a voluntary program and does not have any internship arrangements with the companies, it is not a replacement for the internship module. However, there would be possibilities for mentors to connect you with the right internship or job opportunities in the future.
